About this role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated ECT of Science to join our school in Havering. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong commitment to promoting excellence in science education. You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons that inspire and engage our students.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that are challenging, engaging, and meet the needs of all learners Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential Contribute to the development and implementation of the science curriculum, ensuring that it is relevant, up-to-date, and meets the needs of our students Participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities to enhance your knowledge and skills as a teacher Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment that fosters student achievement and well-being Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, demonstrating a commitment to professionalism and teamwork Qualifications and Experience:

A degree in Science or a related field A PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for teaching science Experience of teaching science at secondary level, ideally within the UK education system Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues We offer a supportive and inclusive working environment, where staff are valued and their professional development is encouraged.
