We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Early Career Teacher of Psychology to join our team in East London. The successful candidate will have a passion for psychology, a commitment to student development, and a strong understanding of key psychological theories and research methods.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality Psychology lessons that engage and inspire students of all abilities, using a range of teaching methods and resources to promote critical thinking, analysis, and application of psychological concepts Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement new teaching strategies and resources, sharing best practice and improving teaching standards across the school Participate in regular mentorship and training sessions to support your professional development, with ongoing support and guidance from experienced mentors and senior colleagues Teach a range of topics within Psychology, including cognitive, social, developmental, and biological psychology Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes respect for diverse perspectives, critical inquiry, and a deep understanding of the complexities of human behaviour Support students in their preparation for exams and other assessments, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their full potential
Requirements:
A degree in Psychology or a related subject A PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification Excellent subject knowledge in Psychology, with a strong understanding of key psychological theories and research methods A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn and develop as a teacher Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents A passion for teaching and inspiring young minds, with a commitment to student development We offer a supportive and collaborative working environment, with comprehensive mentorship and support for ECTs.
